Thanks, Reg and Chris. I had forgotten how much fun the car was and although I actually enjoyed working on it these past few years, it's about time it's finally driving again.

Beautifully done, I am impressed with the fairing. How does it attach? I am assuming that it needs to be removed before the boot can be opened. Thanks for sharing!Cheers-Shaunsjohnson@johnsonlabs.biz

Thanks, Shaun. The fairing's hinged at the front corners so it tilts forward to open the boot. No need to remove it. When it's down, it's held in place in the back with two pins that just pull out.

Hi Emil,I have just rejoined the MGB fold after 30 odd years and bought a 77 B roadster to restore and modify. I joined the forum to look for some guidance on ideas that I have been considering, like chrome bumpers, IFS, lowering the screen and building some sort of headrest on the lines of the Jaguar D-type of the fifties as well as a mild engine tune. Your stunning red B has inspired me to go down the the same road as you have. I know it has been a few years since your posings on the head rest and I wonder if you had been producing them to order for enthusiasts? Do or would you consider making up one for me? Whatever the cost, it looks so much better than the Moss effort. I would be happy to pay your price plus shipment to me in New Zealand.thanks and all the best,Richard Lawrence.

Hi, Richard. Thanks for the comments! Quite a few members have asked if I make the fairing for sale. Unfortunately, this is a one-off. Never made a mold for it and time won't allow for such a venture. Plus there would be fit issues from one car to another due to how I chose to design it--every car would have just enough difference in measurements to cause significant fit problems. But, if you need any guidance in making one of your own I'd be glad to advise in the methods I used.As far as the chrome bumper conversion, check out this link to the Moss kit. It shows every step needed for the conversion. Even if you don't want to use their kit, you'll see what's involved to complete the project:The kit:http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=43218The instructions:http://www.mossmotors.com/graphics/Products/Instructions/453-878-888.pdfI made the cut down windscreen myself out of Plexiglas. If you need advice on that just ask. It's not difficult but I can't imagine it would street legal for a
