Location Downtown, Huntsville, Utah, USA
Date May 15, 2021

The Huntsville Grand Prix 2021 (the 2nd) is scheduled for May 15th, 2021.

At the current time, The Huntsville Grand Prix is a yearly CycleKarting event in Huntsville Utah. The first Event was August 2020 which enjoyed great success for the pilot event. 23 Cyclekarts attended. This captured the title as the largest cyclekart gathering in the world for 2020.

The HGP was an accidental spin-off event filling a void when, for reasons other than the Covid pandemic, The Mighty Tieton Grand Prix was cancelled. It is a sibling of Tieton and Gittreville Grand Prix and run in a strikingly similar fashion.

Trying hard to get my 79 spit back on the road after almost 20 years in storage. Owned her since 1989 but kids and life took priority so she has been sleeping in a climate controlled storage room for a long long time. We just determined there is no stuck crank so we are now off to the races refreshing like 10 gazillion other things. I need a radiator and fan like yesterday ! I am also having to deal with leaking clutch and brake master cylinders. Good news is fuel tank looks good as do both brake & fuel hard / soft lines. Keeping my fingers crossed she is running and able to get us down to Amelia island from Melbourne Beach ! I've joined "The Triumph Experience" and have been posting there since Jan 2021. Hope to see you at the event, make some new friends and continue the journey of Triumph education

Is this cars and coffee for concours quality cars only? I would like to bring my MGTC or Austin Healey 3000 but neither one is concours quality, just nice drivers.

I can't understand how car events can be run safely during a pandemic. There were no events run last year and I suspect none will be run this year in Ireland.

Die Hut (or - The Hut)(www.diehut.co.za) in Moorreesburg is one of the Western Cape MX-5 Club's all-time fave eateries. It's a longish (and not very scenic) drive but it does give us opportunity to "open the taps" on our MX-5's - with the gendarmerie hopefully looking the other way.. And then there's Die Hut's Sunday buffet table waiting ..........

PS: If there are any Members who would like to arrange for an overnight stay in Moorreesburg, please contact either Bernie (see above) or Sharon at Die Hut (hondjies3@gmail.com).

Spokane Festival Of Speed

Location Spokane County Raceway, 750 N Hayford Rd, Spokane, WA, USA
Date June 04, 2021

Time flies when you are having fun and for the 11th year the Spokane Festival of Speed gives us three-days of vintage racing activities east of the mountains. Spokane County Raceway, a track that is being continually upgraded with donations from “Go Fund Me Track Attack” from our racers will have a full weekend of activities starting early Friday morning. Many our racers travel from west of the mountains, but this event gives those from Idaho, Montana, and even Alberta, an event closer to home.

This year, 2021, for the first time, we are combining our event with Northwest Motorsports – ICSCC. This will truly be a HUGE regional sports car racing event. We have arranged for the clubs to run their own races for championship points but also to join each other’s race groups for a new and exciting experience. After the races fuel up the car and jump back in with your favorite companion and join the Race Car Tour, on a public road, from the track to downtown Spokane Park for an exhibition, returning to the track before dark. This event in the heart of Spokane is a great chance to enjoy the Park, show off your car and explain vintage racing to an eager audience. On Saturday the Ford “Model T” Race with a Le Mans style start will once again be held at the end of the race day. The Festival Race Party and dinner will be Saturday evening at the track.

SFOS a 501-C3 nonprofit is again sponsored by Porsche of Spokane in support of the Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation.
