It Has Been Awhile . :)

Winter was mild but still to cold to work much on Agatha. Pulled the pedal box out of Godzilla. In process of replacing master clutch and brake cylinders on him. I have put a lot of parts on Agatha, trim, splash panels, door handles, trunk locks, hood latches, rebuilt vent windows and much , much more ! Dreading the windscreen rebuild and installation, I've read lots and am feeling pretty confident about the job. Husband finished the taxes this week, he is happy that I wasn't in the house when working on them. Oh I forgot, every week when my husband talks to his mom , she asks if I'm done yet. She has been a big follower of my working on the car, I need to get done , she is a spry 88 years and would like one of the first rides of Agatha when she is done.

Carpet In The Foot Well Area

Today was busy, first I was able to take eight frames of honey off of the hive at my brothers house. Next set up honey extracting area on a work bench behind Godzilla. Ate dinner rested a bit then went out to the shop and installed the four pieces of carpet in the foot well area of the car, tomorrow I hope to finish up with the carpet that goes on the transmission tunnel. All in all a busy fulfilling day.

Fourth Of July.

Today started out with a big bang and two to three second shake. Earthquake happened not far from us, 4.2 on the scale. After all the excitement finished adding two more interior panels in Godzilla.

It Is Hot In The Shop.

It has been awhile since my last journal post. I've installed the cheap Peel and Seal sound proofing. The sill , wheel arch and area behind the seats have been carpeted. Today I recovered the cockpit rail and passenger door cap with new vinyl that came in the interior kit. The other door cap needs some work on where the chrome end finisher fit, the hole is stripped out. The other car Agatha has new stainless steel side trim, it is best to clean off and use metal polish on them before sliding them on to the new buttons. Hope to get going earlier as it was 93 degrees in the shop with the doors open, the heat did help with stretching the vinyl on the cockpit rail and on the door cap.

Making Progress !

The last several days working on the two cars has been a lot of fun. Por-15 the trunk pan on Godzilla, took me three days total . The paint and rust removal happened during the winter and the degreasing and metal ready treatment took place on Wednesday. While waiting between coats of the black stuff I did little projects on Agatha , the lift-a-dot post are now on the car along with the two chrome top retainers . Hopefully I will get the gas tank back on Godzilla tomorrow.

The Little Things.

Today was a day to work on little projects. It is stuff that need to be accomplished in order to finish bigger tasks. On a rainy day with a warm wood stove and 80's music , finishing these task can be most relaxing . I am waiting on a order that helps me get to the task of installing the interior and the rest of my lights on the car. People ask me when the car will be done, all I can say is soon. There is no time line and I don't plan to ever have one. My friends are excited about my journey of fixing the car and like to hear of the milestones I've made. They will all know when I am finished , plan to have a coming out party for Agatha.
