I've been working on my car again fixing some of the little jobs on Agatha that I haven't gotten around to. Life got in the way and it's been years since I really felt like working on car projects. One of the jobs was to put in the headlight relay that I bought about 7 years ago the other is organize my wiring mess left by previous owners and lastly replace burned out headlight. It is never too late to start again old projects.

Had a busy spring, spent time getting the house ready for paint and digging plants away from the foundation, so had to put working on Agatha on the back burner. In the early part of June I had time to work on the car and was able to clean and replace some of the connectors on the headlight wiring and replace a bad headlight switch. Turned on the headlights and the passenger side was bright and the driver side was dim. Once again had to postpone working on the car some more as I had to repair my son's car which he needed shipped to him. Got it fixed and then attend his graduation in S.C. Home now for awhile, back to work on Agatha, I cleaned more bullet connectors and replaced more connector and finally two days ago tried again and now have two bright headlights.

Put battery in the car and hooked it up. No power anywhere. Talked to a friend in my car club about my problem, I'm not to good at trouble shooting electrical systems so he came by on Friday and helped me out. Brown wires to the starter were hooked up wrong is what we found out. I now know the next step on checking my wiring, I hope to work some more today on the car. Spring has sprung !

Wasn't too sure what condition of the frames were going to be in after stripping the covers and seat foams off. What a nice surprise I found, both appeared to have surface rust ( old owner had the car sitting open to the elements) . After removing the rust with wire brush, the welds and other areas were in good shape , no breaks ! I now have one seat frame ready for paint today and the other ready for rust and paint removal. I am still waiting on the new clips to show up, the old ones were in bad shape.

It has been a very busy summer, had to go with the husband to pick our sons stuff up from Montana, our son shipped out to Navy boot camp. Celebrated our 30 year anniversary with a trip, into June we went to Wisconsin for a combination visit my sister and brother in law . Also attended our son's PIR for the Navy, he is now in S.C. for A school, very proud mom I am. Ended up with the worst head cold I've ever had, was going to jump into finishing the interior on Agatha , way laid with sinus infection for two weeks, no bending over and installing carpet , infected ears !
This week, I am working on the car, so far I finished the panel installation and am working on finishing the carpet, I also am working on recovering the door arm rests. After all this stuff is done, time for re doing the seats. So happy to be working on the car again even though the shop gets to hot to work in the middle of the day.

I finally was able to work on my cars on Monday as the shop was not very cold. I have decided to re paint the brackets that install on the body of the car to hold the stow-away frame. I was also able to finish up on installation of the angle bracket of the speedometer. On Godzilla I found a lost screw that needed to hold the float bowl on the HIF 4 carburetor. ,couldn't find the damper pot oil though, found that yesterday.
A sale on the type of top I wanted for the stow-away top frame has appeared in my e-mail and I had the funds to buy the dark blue stay fast cloth stow-away top that I needed for my car. This will compliment the Navy blue interior of Agatha nicely. I hope to work some on my car today.
