Extremely tight financial times have stalled my velomobile project for a while (water heater quit, AC/furnace needed much work, van needed work, wife needed hospital trip for infected cut). As I make the slow climb back out of debt and overdraft status, I've been surfing the web and looking at some diverse designs for home-built velomobiles. I found one on this sight below:

I knew I wouldn't be the only one to style a pedal-powered car after an antique racer. This offers quite a few interesting ideas which, for me still being at a somewhat early stage in design, might be able to take advantage of. I shall see. Meanwhile, here's a pic.

Interesting design Don. I think the CKC site is super for numerous reasons and many of those deal with the types of folks that are members, willing to share their successes and oops moments. For myself I need to stick to a gas powered toy as the pedal powered motor belches, leaks, has little power on the flats and none on hills. Good luck and keep us posted.

I will indeed. The project has entered a bit of a slow period. But I am working back toward getting in the black so I will have more money for needed parts later on. This project has been evolving on paper and many useful ideas are cropping up.
