Hello Dave, Great work, indeed! Can't see very well: are chassis rails made of wood too, or are steel tubes covered with wood strips? Regards, Zoran

Zoran. The rails are steel. 1X2X 14gauge. Will have wooden 3X.75 birch plywood inside to attach to steel frame and for floor attachments. Thanks for compliment. Although next one that is wood strip I'll use frames and strong back just like making a canoe or kayak. A steamer (which I don't have) would allow greater curves---especially compound curves. May have to build a steamer someday....lol

Dave,That would be wonderful result!People that build wooden-strip canoes make simple and cheap steamers using long metal tubes (gutter?), put on anlge, with water on lower side (fire under that) and steam going up and slowly out on higher side... Could be used for long strips... Or to leave strips in pool for a few days (if have one)... Zoran

The gutter filled with water would be the most simple to build, maintain, and store between uses, but the down side is that the wood has to dry once placed in position before can attempt gluing. But definitely will be adding something to tool list before next one......lol.
