It's been three months now since I get my B on ebay. Better start this now as so much has happened that I'll soon forget.
The car was a restoration performed by the previous owner that looks very nice although still needing some attention. Luckily, the car is virtually rust free and some minor work commenced.
In February while in my garage I did a couple of items, Put in a dash pad, new battery, alternator, temp sensor and air dam. Got the car registered at the end of February and finally had the drive I had almost forgotten after 30 years.
In March, with the help of a retired MG mechanic we tuned the car up, repaired the rear brakes, speedometer, and a few other items. I finally took a nice 60 degree top down drive with my wife up route 1 in CT from Guilford to Old Saybrook. Life is good!
My wiring was a mess and and with the help of another local mechanic re wired under the dash and completely under the hood and now everything is working and looking just right. I had them lower the car while they had it with the Moss lowering kit and using the Sprint springs for the front.
I got the car back this past Tuesday just before I left on a business trip out of the country. Can't wait to get back home and DRIVE! While I've only done cosmetic and minor mechanical work myself, I did end up with a car that needed some professional help or much more time from me that would keep me from enjoying the car.
I am looking forward to driving more and keep improving the car.
