I recently bought my TR4A in New Zealand, where it has been since importation in 1998. It was converted back to right hand drive by the private importer with 17000 miles on the clock.
It was sold to a private buyer in Wanaka in May 2000 and owned by that person until I bought it from a Classic Car Broker in May 2019, now with 32900 miles on the clock.
I believe it was layed up in 2014 by the previous owner who was now getting older and it put on relatively few miles until I bought it.
It still hasn't turned past 33000 miles but I have bought a lot of deferred maintenance up to date and will keep on improving it.
I am currently a member of the TR Register and the Vintage Car Club in New Zealand. It will get driven with gusto but mainly on car club runs and mostly just on fine days. That softtop is a bit of a bugger.
It appears to be in totally original condition but if I discover otherwise I shall let you know. Some panels have been repainted (bonnet) or touched up over time.
