Completed all the stitching. Added dark green piping to match the car’s paint. Next step is to order the hardware (Lift-a-Dot snaps) and finish the job.
Today I decided to start working on making a half tonneau cover to match the tan interior of my 1975 MGB. I was able to find an old, dirty black one from someone nearby. It seems to have shrunk over time so the new one will need to be about an inch wider. I used a seam ripper to dissect it and use it as a template for a new one. The local fabric store had marine grade vinyl on sale for 50% off so this project could end up only costing about $20 (assuming that I’ll be able to use the snaps from the old cover). Pieces have been cut out, next step is to stitch everything together and do a test fit.
