Very smart choice! This is a smart looking car and being from Calif probably has little rust. Brit cars of that era were intended to be maintained by the owners and require no special tools. Parts are plentiful and inexpensive. ( I have 11 spridgits, more MG-B's and triumphs etc. and have wrenched on these all my adult years (lots!))Hopefully there is a Sprite or other Brit car club nearby for you, so you can autocross and tour with them!As far as installing a music system, installation is typical, **BUT**you need to preferably reverse the polarity of the electrical system to NEGATIVE GROUND! nothing changing! the coil may have a + and - the - STILL goes to the points. The generator must be re polarized. Reverse the battery neg to body remove the field wire from the generator, take a clip lead from the battery positive and touch the field terminal for a second then reconnect things as original. Start the engine and measure the voltage to see if it increases with RPM.. My speakers are in the boot-compartment

Chuck, that looks like a really nice early example there, it's a beauty.

Thanks Louis. Always a work in progress as I'm sure yours is to.
