Registry: 1976 MG MGA 1500

Traded my 1991 d21 custom pickup for my 1976 mg midget 1500 with extra motor and transmission in a not running condition, timing gear was incorrectly installed and rods where loose. Now have the ignition timing set and valves set correctly at 0° bftdc.valves are set at .010". Wants to start when spraying starting fuid in carb but failing to get fuel from tank, bought a import direct electric fuel pump that should hopefully correct the issues , need to replace one of the choke housing screws as I just looked and the bottom screw isn't there. Plan on lining the trunk and inside of fenders so they don't rust out and under lining the bottom of the car and wheel wells too. After that's done I plan on getting black carpet for the trunk and making a custom trunk to match the interior (black carpet on black leather) , also plan on re painting it professionally because previous owner rattle caned it, it looks nice but there are runs in the paint front and back(still waiting on him to deliver my euro trunk with rack , roll bar, chrome front bumper). The leather top is still in really good shape just needs a few buttons fixed . Has the mirrors mounted on the frender when I bought it . Looking for the sun visors for the car so if you got em inbox or email me please will pay cash. I kind of want to give the car a "bomber" look with vent passages and rivets but I know if I go that route it won't be worth as much as an original, will post pictures of the car upon completion. Interested in others experience with the 1500 series engine and how I can improve preformance
