Car is in original condition, never painted, always garaged, no rust anywhere, fully operational, runs great, driven in summer only. I bought this car upon graduation from UCLA in the fall of 1970.

Hello Jeff Has your gas fill cap always been on angle as shown in the pictures? I have a late 1970 early 1971 and am trying to verify how she was when she was new.

Hello David, the gas cap has always been in that position. I have made no modifications to the car since new. I purchased the car in August of 1970.

Jeff, love the car, its beautiful. My 1970 is CC54357L so built a little before yours. Also painted Damson#17. I bought mine from the original owner in 1975 and while I dont think any modifications had been made, my bumpers dont have the chrome tubing that yours has. Do you remember if that was a factory option? Thanks, Scott

Hello Scott,I purchased the car, sight unseen, at a dealer in Woodland Hills, California. They had none on the floor but with 3 on order. This was 1970. I was the first on the list so I got first choice on the lot when they came across the water. I had to wait about 3 weeks before the dealer called and said that the cars had come in and would I come down and pick one out. One was yellow with a chestnut interior, wire wheels, another was British Racing Green with chestnut interior and the one I purchased. It had the bumper shown in the photo. I don't recall if the other two cars had a similar bumper. By the way, price off the lot was $3025.00.Cheers, Jeff
