A beyond terminally rusty parts car I bought for its hood, overdrive transmission and possibly engine (though that's a stretch).

The engine number appears at first glance to be a 3-main 18G engine, but the RWE in the number should be from a later engine, indicating that the car would have come with an overdrive (which this car has). There's an H in the number later, and I think 1970 is too early for a distinction between high and low compression, so perhaps the "H" from the "18GH" got misplaced? I've no idea.

EDIT: It's an 18GJ engine, which is an 18GH engine with California Emissions, apparently. After closer inspection of the engine tag, there's a "J" stamped far below the rest of the numbers and sideways.
