Built in February 1969 and sold by University Motors Limited, London, this MGC was finished in Snowberry White with black trim and hood. Factory fitted equipment includes wire wheels, packaway hood, heater and a tonneau cover.
The gentleman who purchased new kept the car until 2014. He covered 74k miles over the first eleven years of its life before having a complete engine rebuild in 1980. The car was then stored for 20 years until 2000 when a full restoration was carried out and the speedo zeroed. The second owner purchased the MG in 2014 and now (Jan2020) some 2400 miles have been covered since the restoration.
The MG retains its original colours and specification, along with its original engine, as detailed in the BMIHT ‘Heritage Certificate’.
In Aug 2019 it had a top end rebuild with a new head gasket and replacement camshaft, along with a new radiator.
Having just acquired it, and my first 'classic' (although I did own a '64 MGB Roadster way back in the '70s!) as a retirement present to myself, I am looking forward to having fun touring around the UK and Europe!
