I am the original owner (bought it with my Army "Soldiers Deposits" savings from Vietnam in 1969). I have the San Francisco BMC window sticker and original Owner's and Shop Manuals.
The engine was rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago. Jack Little installed a new front end and did the last professional tune up before my son drove it to high school 12 years ago; it was voted "Coolest Car" in his high school yearbook. It has been garage stored and periodically started ever since.
Because it is an MG, I have many, many new and used spare parts including wire wheels, a complete head, distributor, two AM radios, complete SU carbs, fuel pumps (always carry a spare!), brake disks and drums, original oil and air filter elements, etc. I plan to sell off the parts and car because I am a little old and infirm for this hobby. I advertised the car on this site two years ago and got many inquiries and an earnest cash offer whose financing fell though last year. I hope someone would like to take this on as a spring project. It needs a paint job and upholstery but it runs very well.

Hi, How are the floors, rockers and trunk for this GT? It wouldn't be a 'late' '67 with metal dash, registered as a '68 or does it have that awful 'pillow' dash? Thx for any info, Lee

Lee,
I'm afraid it must not be a late '67 because the configuration of the passenger side dash is "pillow-like". Trunk is fine, there is a patch to a puncture on one floor panel. I plan to take some pics when I can get to the cabin where it is garaged. Thanks, Tony

The car must be stored in the hills with the snow blower in the picture.

Gary,
Nice deduction. The double garage in the mountains is where all my projects
and spare parts migrate. It also offers a mile or so of circular one lane road
where I can give the car its quarterly exercise under the radar (without
current registration on its 1968 license plates).

hi from Melbourne Australia - I too am a Vietnam Veteran - 110 Signals Squadron, Saigon 1969 - 1970.
I have a 1966 roadster - and am looking to visit USA with intention of buying a MGB GT to tour for a
while then bring it back to Australia. Your car looks almost what I'm seeking - can you send me more
picture? barryminster@gmail.com

Barry,
I am going up to the cabin this weekend and will take more pics. I intend to sell the running car and parts as a project. It needs new seat
upholstery or repairs and the deferred maintenance you already know well. That just does not sound like the kind of thing one can do at
the front end of a vacation. For example, my tires and tubes must be 30 years old; okay for a turn around the block or the drive up to
storage...not safe for an extended highway tour of California. I'll be pleased to share all the details and condition. From what I am
learning about condition and values on the MGExp this may still be a great buy for you to take home and complete. Let's keep in touch.

Are you willing to post what the current offer is?
I'm not interested in getting into a bidding war,
but this car is very close to what I'd like.
Thanks

Comment by Anthony Hare
Keith,I came to terms with the first buyer who called. But he was reluctant to follow the usual terms of sale. He has since agreed (please see my thread under the Buy, Sell Trade Forum) but I'm leaving the ad up till I get cash. I'll be pleased to call you if he declines. Thanks,Tony

Was this car sold?

Comment by Anthony Hare
Loren,I still have the car. I hope to go up and change a tire next week. Last time I drove it I thought it was time to rebuild the shocks. It rode pretty hard on the primitive county road. When I looked at the 30+ year old front tire it was missing about four inches of tread. The warnings about old tires are accurate. l
