Registry: 1967 Morris Minor Tourer (Convertible)

Olde Morris is a 1967 Morris tourer that I purchased from my former babysitter some 30 years after last riding in him. I fortuitously ran into my babysitter at my hometown 4th of July parade, and while catching up, enquired about the Morris that we used to take on adventures in my High Sierra hometown. She said that she still had it, and would be interested in selling it. I jumped at the chance, and shortly thereafter towed home my "barn find". After some doing, I was able to get it running well enough to determine that it needed a full engine rebuild. And brakes,and suspension, and a convertible top that wasn't more holes than canvas. I set a crazy goal to have the car ready for the 4th of July parade in my hometown the following year. Work commenced in earnest, and the list of what i have done to the car is long and infuriating to my wife! For beginners, I rebuilt the engine, redid the brakes and suspension, and reupholstered the car. A new top and fresh paint custom mixed to match the original finished the job. I triumphantly drove the car up to my High Sierra hometown, and drove it in the parade. Olde Morris is now my daily driver, and I look forward to our further adventures.
