Registry: 1959 Jaguar XK150

The car is an XK150 Roadster. The car was restored as a driver before I bought it, with a 5 speed Borg Warner T5 gearbox, an alternator, and a new, but not original materials, interior. The car has a mismatched engine and cylinder head, both to the car's VIN plate and to each other. As a driver, however it is a fabulous car, running incredibly well and being very reliable. For the most part, it is complete and in very good condition with no significant or structural rust or work that needs to be done in the short term, though as it was last painted in 1974 with a lacquer paint, it could stand to be repainted at some point as there's some flaws and cracking from paint flexing and shrinkage. My plans for the car are largely to drive it for now and then to strip it down for repainting and more detailed restoration. On that front, I managed to buy an original 3.4L 150S engine, cylinder head, and intake, which will likely be rebuilt and installed in place of the current unit, upgrading the car to the 150S configuration (along with the required bodywork to clear the carburettors and filter). As the car is already mismatched, I'm not worried about that aspect of originality and will still look but I want the end result to be very near what a factory car would be like.
