Hi Michael- ThankZ( always figured your Z's were because of our cars?)...The red on mine is a little too candy apple to be original in anything except concept. No it's not a Varitone, just that restorer thought that the two tone paint looked better than the original green. Probably because he did not have any shiny body moulding to follow, he also painted the hood fully white , which probably doesn't satisfy the purists out there, but I have seen quite a few others painted in the same fashion over the years and I actually like both treatments. I'm a fool for saloons(even though I do enjoy my B's too) and also have a Rover TC, and a Jag 3.8S, but the Magnette has a humble but 'magnetic' attraction to it that really makes it get wonderful attention from people wherever it is....maybe because so many folks just have not seen one. Is yours original as to drivetrain ? My only complaint(and it is really not a complaint rather than modern day observation) is the limitations of the engine and transmission for any tim

I've Enjoyed my share of Saloonz as well, now i just go to the local liquor store (haha). Yes my ZB is Completely Original, i purchased her in the S.F Bay area in 1972."Keep on Rollin".
