seth carper's 1953 MG TD

Hi everyone,
I have two 1953 MGTDs that I purchased from a friend about five years ago. They were his late father's cars, and had been in a barn for 35 years. The building was about to come down, so I rescued them and moved them to my family's property in Ramseur, North Carolina, which is where they have been since (see photos). I am now residing in Texas, and am not in a position to restore them myself any time soon. So, in order to see them get back on the road where they belong, I’ve decided to sell both. I have the titles in hand for both cars, which the previous owner had since ’57 and ’69. Both need total restoration but all the parts are there. When checked in 2021, both engines were free and not frozen. I haven’t gone over them with a fine-toothed comb, but the frames appear solid, sheet metal has superficial rust, no apparent holes. Obviously, all of the wooden components would need to be replaced. Both appear restorable, or you could make one out of the two. All of the parts missing on the black car are in the vehicle, removed by the former owner. Other than moving them, I’ve personally done nothing with them, living out of state and unable to manage them. I have more photos of the removal, relocation, and current location. My elderly mother resides on the property, so my brother has agreed to help me broker any interested parties viewing/purchasing. Any buyer would need to facilitate the moving of the vehicles with a trailer or carrier. $5000 for the pair…I’d like to keep them together but would consider separating them. Serious inquiries only, no low ball offers. Let me know if you are interested by contacting me via direct message, and thanks! Hope to see them get into the right hands!
Best,
Seth
