Side Windows Installation Is Tricky

The installation of the side windows has been tricky, i.e,, windows are either hard to crank or fall out of tracks. I think the later is the worst problem. I've fiddled with the adjustments, but haven't gotten it right yet. They are installed, but definitely need some fine tuning. Persisting...

Success! Bad Condenser

I have rebuilt the carb, swappped fuel, tested the fuel pump, checked everything in between and finally replaced the condenser. She fired on the first turn, just in time for spring cruising. Help from MGE forum was essential to the repair and suggested the fix.

Engine Problems

The 76 B has a Britek Stage 1 kit (Weber DGES 38) installed by the PO. The car ran fine last fall when I took it to be painted. A multitude of windshield installation problems delayed any real driving. I had a new muffler installed just before the paint job. It ran well. I started it up over the winter and this spring about once every couple of months. No problems. The problem: now, when I try to start the car (no changes in carb, ignition, etc) it runs for a second or two then backfires a...

Windshield Installed - Successfully

I thought I wrote this update, but can't seem to find it. I was able to install the windshield with the longer bolts when I used the spacers. Now I have one door, vent wing and panel installed. Had to order another door / window gasket and it arrived this week. I'll put the other door together next. Finally, it is all coming together.
