It turns out that it wasn't my cute little, fun to drive, joy inspiring, "please pick me up from dance practice in the spit" car trying to tell a joke. Quite the opposite. I'm an art major. I guess you could say I'm an optimist who also thinks outside the box. So, my initial approach was to ignore the feeling of doom when, after dropping my daughter off for her dance recital practice, I first began to hear the engine knocking rather loudly. I write this after the numbness of my reasoning has worn off and I can feel the variety of different emotions which come with the owning of a Triumph Spitfire...or Spitfires as the case may be. Well, there is the one I meant to buy, then the one I got for free...and then lastly, the one that hopefully holds within it's bonnet a heart that beats without hesitation for the adopted 'middle' spit...which I don't think i paid too much for...but might have.
