23 MG LOGO for Workshop wall

In addition to MGB's another interest I have is in CNC routing and machining. I like to make decorative things that appeal to car guys. Heres a 23" MG logo medalion I did to decorate the garage wall! Looks very cool and tells the world, or at least the small part of it that visits my shop, that I am an MG fan. Also pictured is a replacement emblem I made for the boot lid of the car. Yes I know that I could have just bought one from MOSS but hey now I can say I have CNC'd Billet aluminium parts...

Back At The Rust. Same Stuff - Different Side!

Needs a little work

Well since the front end is sorted out I thought I best get cracking on the floor and sill replacement on the drivers side of the car. The main difference from the repair I did to the pass side is that on the drivers side I need to replace the complete 1/2 section of the rear crossmember as well since the short repair section is just not gonna do it. On this side teh crossmember is extensively rusted above the area where the exhaust passes, I will likely replace it right from the transmission...

To start I rebuild teh front suspension with new king pins and all new rubber bushes and also fitted new brake rotors. This puts many of the mechanical safety issues to rest for a while. The drivers king pin was wornm oval on the lower pivot and must have made for interesting handling for the previous owner who only parked it when the clutch wore out??? Got to...

outer rockers fitted 001

Well I have reached a milestone in the repair of the passenger side of the car. Last night I fitted up the outer rocker and all worked out excellent. The door fit is very very good and it opens and closes as good as any B I have checked out. I still have a few minor bits of welding to do and as well as a small patch to weld in to tie the dash side panel to the inner sill at the outside of the footwell ahead of the door hinge pillar. Also have to weld in some bolts thru the floorpan to allow...
