Just bought my 2nd MGB. First was a 1972 B - my first car at age 15. I ended up destroying it during a rainy afternoon. Fast forward 20 yrs, just got my second B, a 1980. Feel like I won the lottery- really nice car & a ton of new parts, tools & garage equip for a song. So lucky! This time around, I've enlisted the help of a friend to teach me general British car repair & maint. We've begun the process of cking systems, lines, seals, etc. to return the B to her full glory though she's not in such bad shape. So far, I've been driving it every day, 5 miles each way to work, with some success. The current condition is some body rust but stable floor pans, rockers & dog legs. The car's suspension has been lowered 2" for racing & I'd like to raise it back up. She's got a sport oil cooler, elec ignition, 5th gear (that doesn't currently engage), & a fancy carburetor that I haven't figured out yet. Can you tell I'm in love?
