Getting back into sportscars after a 35 year absence. Currently have my old '66 Spitfire MkII, a '76 MGB and a '79 Spitfire 1500. Everything is a project car. The "B" drives and the 1500 will, as soon as I get the new gearbox in. Looking forward to playing with PTOA and the CGMG Club.

12/28/2023 I haven't had much time to work on the Spitty. OK...I'll rephrase that I haven't TAKEN much time to work on the Spitty. But I got the shifting issue fixed and now have to jack it up to change the oil in the box and then lift it to replace the rear trans mount rubbers and turn around the mounting bracket which someone installed backward so the rubbers are flexed forward. Since I'm working outside under a tarp and on gravel I have to admit a considerable lack of motivation,...

OK...time to start a journal here. I should probably start with some of my personal automotive history so folks know where I'm coming from in both my comments on others' posts and for my own posts. I got interested in sportscars when my cousin took me to the 2nd "Rose Cup" races at (then) west Delta Park in Portland, Oregon.
