This is my second B, the previous one was 40 years ago a '64 Mk 1 with a J & S hardtop and chrome wires. In 1973 I bought a Piper Tripacer and it's registration was VH-MGB 'Mike Golf Bravo', so I guess that makes Molly my third MGB.

The First MGB
Posted on: Tuesday December 2, 2008
Back in about 1967 I put a deposit down on a Triumph TR3A but that was sold out from under me and I ended up with a 1964 MGB Mk1 with a J&S hardtop and chrome wires with knockons. Thought I was pretty cool in the B. One night on a midnight run south of Sydney ( a 250 klm run)I got to Liverpool About 35 klms from home with the gauge showing empty and only 20 cents in my pocket, reckon I made it on fumes. When the insurance went through the roof, it had to go.
