Nissan Almera: the third generation Nissan Almera (or 2nd generation Versa sedan), produced or sold in some African and Asian markets like Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Africa and Malaysia, Mauritius, Philippines, Thailand in Asia, and other Asian countries. Nearly identical to the USDM Nissan Versa sedan, with very minor differences. Also primarily RHD (Right-hand Drive). Nissan performed a minor facelift on these models from 2015-2019.
According to a Nissan press release in 2008, "versa" is short for "versatile space" meant to imply the spaciousness of the interior and configurable cargo arrangements.
