it to you. VIN indicates a 1972 as well. Though foolish in
retrospect, many owners utilized rubber bumper kits to "modernize"
their MGBs when the new version came out so they could pretend that
their ride was the latest model. British Leeland still sells these
bumper kits, as well as chrome bumper kits to make a 1978 look like a
1972. So your "No Way" comment is just plain wrong.
misrepresenting the car's model year. I sure wish the previous owner
hadn't done the bumper conversion as well. Though less valuable, it
is still a blast to drive. Thank you for your well wishes.
