1965 MG Midget Project

Bought the car from this website and im planning a full restoration with upgrades to suspension, drivetrain, ect.

Front Suspension
The new custom front suspension was professionally engineered and is complete it consists of:
New Wilwood's tall spindles
New Heidt's Superide II narrowed tubular upper and lower control arms.
New Afco double adjustable coil over shocks with 4" stroke
New 10.5" vented rotors with Wilwoods 4 piston calipers
New Schroeder torsion bar
New modified Triumph Spitfire quick steer rack 2.5 turns lock to lock. The complete suspension hub to hub is only 1.5" wider than the stock front end was.

Engine & transmission:
ford duratec 2.0, quad 4 rods bellhousing using a ford type 9 transmission. as of now it has a set of direct to head jenvey throttle bodies. in the long term i will upgrade the internals of the engine to shoot for 200hp at the wheels.

Rear end:
most likely will be using a narrowed RX7 GLS SE rear end that has limited slip and disc brakes. i will locate the axle in the car using a modified set of ford escort 4 link boxes. also a panhard bar will be fabricated.

Body:
i am currently working on replacing all the rusty bits of the car. this may take a while!
