Converting MGB spline drive (wire wheel) to bolt on. I’ve recently converted my 1967 MGB/GT, Salisbury axle, from spline drive to bolt on (disc wheel). For those that might want to make the conversion, below is a detailed procedure. You will need the following parts to do the job. A set of front and rear original MGB 4 bolt hubs. 4/26/2008...Installed a new 96 amp alternator. Kept the old one and set it up as a drop in spare...just in case.

It's been over a year since I've written in this journal so i'll do a quick summary. 2007 Installed new carpet set from Prestige. Bought a better recessed grille from Mike Joy and installed it. Brought interior back to 1971 specs. April 2008 Removed entire rear end and painted. Replaced thrush washers and pinion washers. Rebuilt rear brakes. New e-brake cable. New leaf springs and hardware from Brit-Tek.<br /...

It's the end of January and plans are underway to replace the carpeting and remove the center console. I've requested samples from TRF and Prestige and will make a decision based on color. TRF's prices are higher but if the quality and color is better than Prestige, I'll go with them. The hardtop is installed and I've been driving mostly each weekend to keep the car rolling through the winter. We've had no snow yet so it's been great. Wow..haven't posted in my journal for a while. Nothing major to report but I did change to a K&N air filter set up. Picture attached. The picture is not from my car but it's the same set up. Also bought an original AM radio and installed it. Having a static noise problem but I'll get it fixed.
