Journal Entry

Over the next few years I did many things, rebuild the engine, new clutch & pressure plate, electrical system (the old one was speaker wire, old extension cords & duck tape), new interior, extensive body work (with stripping 8 coats of paint: original red, 2 black, 1 white, 2 gray & 3 yellow along with primer, it was almost half an inch thick) and had her painted a forest green metal flake and much more (and many thanks to Moss Motors one of a very few places to get parts at the time). After much blood, sweat & tears she was a good looking & drivable car that was fun and got many admiring looks & comments. She never was my daily drive, but a much loved weekend car (you never get over your first love) I owned her for just over 19 years. At the time I sold her, I had 5 cars (including a 1978 MGB my daily driver) and had not taken her out for over 6 months. I still regret that decision.
